How to Fix an Unrecognized USB Drive

USB Flash Drive Not Recognized

I will show you how to fix a malfunctioning flash drive (Unrecognized USB Drive). If there are any software or driver issues, you can scan and repair your flash drive using your computer's built-in repair program. If your USB drive is not working because of an improper formatting or corrupted data which is stored in your drive, you can reformat your drive. This process will be formatting all the data of your USB drive. 

1. First Plug in your flash drive into your system. If encountering errors show on your flash drive or it did not display its contents, then you need to update its drivers or software using your computer repair feature.

2. Open Start Click on the Windows logo in the bottom left corner of the screen in the status bar.

3. Now Click on the File Explorer. This option is also in the lower left corner of the Start window.

4. Then Click on your flash drive icon which is shown on the screen. It will show on the left-hand side of options in the File Explorer window. So selects it You need to click on next.

5. Click on Home button. This tab is on the upper left side of the File Explorer window which is shown in the image.

6. Now Click on Properties. It is a white box with a red checkmark in the "Open" section of the toolbar.

7. Click the Tools tab. This option is at the top of the Properties window you can show on the upper side.

8. Click on the checkbox. You'll see this button at the top of the Tools tab in the "Error-checking" section.

9. Wait for some time Windows to repair your drive. You have to follow this process step by step during the repair process

10. Click Close when the process is done. If your flash drive's problems were based on driver or software it should work now. If this method does not fix the problem, I will show you next proceed in my another blog.
